‘Food for pleasure and good living’: Slow Food Ireland

We support the Slow Food Movement in Ireland. "Slow Food" is an international movement started in Italy to counter the industrial-scale production of poor quality foods. It’s aims are to support quality artisan food producers and maintain the biodiversity of our food supply. Related to this is the belief that a quieter, less frenetic life is better for your health, their manifesto staunchly defending “the right to pleasure”.
